2018 has passed and we are now in 2019. Wow, where has the time gone. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was making goals for the new year and having a video game marathon…oh wait that was yesterday.
Well, that makes sense why I’m making this post today! Quotable Creations Top Ten Goals for the New Year! A New Year’s resolution I’m actually quite determined to follow!
So let’s get to it shall we? The top ten goals for Quotable Creations are….
10. Write/Collab With Other Blogs
I think this would be so cool. I’ve seen a lot of other blogs here on WordPress–ones that write a lot of similar content, and I think it would be a really cool opportunity to do some collaboration posts with some of y’all on here this year.
9. Work With Some Big Time Companies.
Like Funimation, Akibento, heck maybe even Nintendo! (Yes, I tend to think big.) This year I think it would be really cool to do some collaboration and sponsor work with some of the companies that I admire a lot. Like cosplay projects, feature them in articles, anything really. All I have to do is ask and hope they say yes. That would be one hell of an opportunity and I’m gonna do everything in my power to try and make that happen.
8. Do More Live Streams.
I started my first live stream last year back in November and I got hooked on it. It was so cool and satisfying seeing how many people actually tuned in just to see what I was creating/doing right in that exact moment. So, I did another one showing off a Foodie Event in a nearby grocery store on New Years Eve–definitely going to do an article on that soon.
So because of how fun and successful those two live streams were, this year in 2019 I want to do a lot more. Because it’s really cool that I get to show y’all what I’m doing in that exact moment and talking to everyone who tunes in in real time. It gives a really cool sense of connection. So I’m going to be creating a lot more of those live streams this year. Just have to figure out what to do on them…
7. Produce A Podcast Everyday.
This one, is going to be a bit tricky. But! I’m determined. Recently–like a couple months back, I’ve started Quotable Chats, my podcast. And I absolutely love doing it. It’s like writing articles, but talking! And even though it’s a rather new thing, I want to really work hard and produce one everyday cause I think that would be cool.
And If y’all want to check them out, just head to my YouTube channel or head over to page on here where I try to stash all of ’em.
6. Make Bigger Cosplay Builds.
After finally completing my first big dream cosplay build: Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, I really want to make bigger and better builds this year. For example some projects that are definitely on my list are
- Mirajane’s Satan Soul Siri armor from Fairy Tail
- One of the armor sets from Diablo 3
- Quite a few of the My Hero Academia Hero outfits
- A lot of my Oc’s that I have
So, in the coming months Y’all will definitely be seeing those cosplays popping up.
5. Finish One Book.
Just one. Single. Book. I’ve always come half way to finishing my books and I’ve never finished them. I don’t even half to have it published. All I want is to finish it. And by this year’s end, at least one of them is going to be finished.
4. Do More Cosplay Photoshoots.
Even though I got a decent amount of shoots done in 2018, I really want to increase that number this year. Cause not only does that mean more shooting experience, that means more prints and more cosplays done! And I always love a good excuse to go out on a walk and scout out new photoshoot locations.
3. Have A Booth In The Artist Alley At One Convention.
At least one convention this year I want to manage a booth in the Artist Alley. I’ve always thought that was so cool that the Pro’s have their own booths so I want to have the opportunity to get one as well.
Besides, I think it would be a really cool experience and it would make it easier for me to sell my commissions and props! Win, win.
2. Go To At Least Three Out-Of-State Conventions.
This one right here has been a long time dream of mine. And this year, I’m going to make sure that dream comes true. I’ve only been to two conventions ever and that’s been the two that are in the state that I live in. Yes, I adore those cons with all my little nerd heart, but I would love to experience an out of state con.
For example, I’m planning on attending Crunchy Roll Expo or/and Anime Boston. Both would be a dream come true to attend. I’ve heard nothing but good things about these conventions. (Especially Anime Boston’s Cosplay Chess) So who knows? Maybe on the convention countdown on my website here y’all will see one of those conventions pop up!
And finally the last goal on my list….*drum roll please*
1. Sell At Least One Commission, 5 Props, And 10 Prints.
This one kind of goes hand in hand with number three, but in a way it’s in a league of its own. This year, I’m absolutely determined to make money doing what I love. Back in March of 2018 I decided to make what I love not just a hobby anymore and go pro, so therefore, I need to make money with it. And that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. Somehow, someway.
So, that wraps up this Top Ten! What are some of your guy’s goals for the New year? Tell me below in the comments!
