Hey everyone! This time I’m taking a tiny break from the eposidic progress Making Ofs, and posting a full cosplay this time! Just a few days ago I was able to get the last few bits of a certain cosplay so, I was able to complete an awesome closet cosplay I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time.
Now what could this closet cosplay possibly be? Well, if you haven’t seen the title already, I just completed my cosplay of Female Beatiejuice!
Oh my goodness am I so happy that I finally completed this cosplay. Even though it’s only a closet cosplay–meaning that all of the items are collected from things in my closet or straight out of a chloting store without alterations.
Creating the cosplay itself was a cinch. It was the makeup I wasn’t so sure would work. But, in the end it turned out beautifully. So great, that when I looked in the mirror I actually scared myself. No joke! I literally let out a yelp.
I learned something from the makeup job though. And that is that a blending sponge, works just as amazing for blending face paint and creating deep contour shadows, as it is for blending foundation.
Now, some of you out there—more than likely the makeup experts, are probably going to say: “That’s kinda what blending sponges are for Shania. They have more than one purpose.”
Yea, but I didn’t know that until I tried it out. So there.
Which reminds me, I need to do an article series on the different things you can do with Cosplay makeup…..
Anyways. With this cosplay, I also learned how to portray the characters I’m cosplaying as better. Thank you Tik Tok! It really does help get you into character so you can take better “in character” pictures.
Well, that’s all for this The Making Of. I’ll be sure to get in a proper shoot soon and make those pictures availbe for y’all. Until next time…
