Wooow, it’s been a while since I’ve done a Quotable How To. But I’m doing it now, so that’s what counts! So for today’s subject I’m going to be talking about something that is always a difficult task for female cosplayers to do when we’re trying to cosplay as a male character. Binding our breasts down.
The most known way to do this is by using Ace bandages, but I’m here to tell you this: DO NOT DO THAT!!!!
It’s severely dangerous and it will make it hard to breathe and will more than likely cause bruising to your ribcage.
That’s why in this article I’m going to be talking about a much safer method. A method that wont’ hurt. I just suggest not wearing it for a full twenty-four hours. Cause it will eventually cause discomfort. What I’m talking about is an actual, made of fabric, chest binder.
Now there’s a lot of different types out there, but I’m going to show y’all how to use the half sized one.
Here’s how it works…
Take your chest binder and pull it inside out. I know this may sound strange, but there’s a reason to this. It will help hold down our “assets” better.
The next step is to step into the chest binder from the bottom and slowly pull it up with the shoulder straps pointed down at your feet.
After you do that, you’ll want to pull it up all the way to your chest. Almost like your wearing a tube top. Once that’s done, just pull the straps onto you shoulders making the binder right-side out again.
Now that the chest binder is on, everything should look flat. If you need to adjust a bit just adjust like a bra. Except instead of pushing up, you push down. But also, again, make sure to still take caution with this. If you have any discomfort, take it off. No cosplay is worth enduring pain for.
Well, that’s all for this Quotable How To! I hope it was helpful, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
That’s all for now…
